Leak Verification Test System for Microfluidic Cartridges
 
Poka-Yoke designed a compact, operator-friendly leak test station to validate the quality of microfluidic cartridges prior product release.

The station integrates the Furness Controls FCO790 pressure decay leak tester and a custom-built fixture to ensure repeatable, airtight sealing of each cartridge.

To streamline production without compromising test reliability, we:

·       Designed a mechanical toggle clamp system for rapid, tool-free sealing.
·       Ensured airtight engagement to support sensitive leak rate measurements.
·       Created a modular fixture for cartridge variations.
 
This lean solution enabled frontend staff to perform rapid, accurate leak tests with minimal training, ensuring high product quality while improving release times.
